The 2023-2024 Young Enterprise Society (YES) Club at 瑞士布里蒙国际学校 has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first team from the school to reach the finals of the Business School of Lausanne’s (BSL) Entrepreneurial Challenge. Not only did they make it to the finals, but they also secured the award for the best business model. This remarkable achievement was accomplished by the team EDu, a startup founded by Isabela, Tija, Maria, and Nina. EDu focuses on assisting students in finding the right universities and majors, showcasing the team's innovative approach to solving real-world problems. The team is set to receive mentorship from BSL professors and successful entrepreneurs throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, further honing their entrepreneurial skills.
In addition to EDu, another team from 瑞士布里蒙国际学校, FashionApp, was selected for the final rounds of the competition. FashionApp, developed by Amila and Anastasia, is an app designed to help teens find fashion that matches their individual styles. The success of both teams in such a competitive environment highlights the 创意 and talent of Brillantmont's students. Mr. Joe Brogan, the Economics and History teacher who guided the YES Club students, expressed his pride in their achievements, noting that this year has been the most successful for the club to date. The students' projects, developed in the school's business incubator located in the Pierre Grise building, stood out among entries from student entrepreneurs worldwide, earning recognition from successful business owners and professors.
