Beyond the Classroom: How Champittet Boarding Students Explored Singapore and Malaysia

During the autumn holiday break, boarding students from Collège Champittet embarked on an enriching two-week journey through Singapore and Malaysia, demonstrating how international experiences complement academic learning. The adventure began in Singapore, a global hub of l'innovation and culture. Students visited the ArtScience Museum, specifically the teamLab Future World exhibit, where they engaged with immersive digital art installations that blurred the lines between technology and creative expression. This was followed by a visit to the iconic Gardens by the Bay, where they witnessed a spectacular evening music and light show amidst stunning horticultural displays. The cultural immersion continued in Singapore's Chinatown, where students explored the neighborhood's rich heritage and vibrant atmosphere. The Singapore leg of the trip concluded with a day of fun at Adventure Cove Waterpark, featuring water slides and opportunities to observe diverse marine life.

The educational journey continued as students traveled to Malaysia to explore its natural beauty and urban landscapes. On the picturesque island of Langkawi, the group engaged in snorkeling, discovering vibrant coral reefs and marine ecosystems. A catamaran cruise offered breathtaking views of the island's coastline, complemented by a paradisiacal beach lunch. The Langkawi experience was capped with a cable car ride to the island's highest peak, providing panoramic mountain vistas. The final destination was the dynamic capital city, Kuala Lumpur. Here, students observed the city's unique blend of modernity and tradition, visiting landmarks such as the National Palace and the world-renowned Petronas Twin Towers. A significant cultural excursion to the Batu Caves, a limestone hill featuring a series of caves and Hindu temples, provided an unforgettable conclusion to the trip, offering deep insights into local religious practices and natural history.
