The month of November at Collège Champittet vividly demonstrated that the institution's impact extends far beyond academic instruction, serving as a dynamic hub for cultural, spiritual, and social connection. The school's activities are designed to enrich lives and foster a strong sense of community among students, alumni, and families. A key example was the Chaplaincy Raclette event on November 4th, which invited families to share a meal and learn about the school's spiritual services. Although the chaplaincy primarily offers Catholic activities like Catechism courses, Masses, and retreats, these are open to all students regardless of religious background, reflecting the school's inclusive ethos. This event underscored how the school nurtures not just the mind but also the spirit, creating welcoming spaces for families to engage with the school's values and community life.
Cultural enrichment and alumni engagement were also central themes. The school launched its 2025-26 Cultural Season with a remarkable concert by the world-renowned a cappella group, The King's Singers, held in the school chapel on November 14th. The artists further enriched the experience by conducting a generous masterclass for the school's women's and children's choirs, offering invaluable guidance on technique and performance. Shortly after, the campus warmly welcomed back generations of its community for an Alumni Fondue Night. This convivial evening saw a strong turnout from both current and retired teachers, as well as recent graduates, including the Class of 2025, strengthening lifelong bonds. The school also announced the upcoming launch of a new alumni platform in 2026 to further support these connections. Furthermore, student leadership and philanthropy shone at the L'hiver Ball, organized by Grade 14 IB students for their peers in Grades 9 and 10. With a 'red and gold' theme, the event transformed the school's Café 1903 into a festive venue, with all proceeds supporting humanitarian projects through the Collège Champittet Foundation, beautifully merging celebration with charitable purpose.
