Mélodie inspirante : Comment la chanson sincère d'une élève sensibilise au syndrome de Rett

A student at Institut Montana Zugerberg has transformed personal experience into a powerful force for good. Justine, a talented pupil in the Swiss Gymnasium, has successfully launched her debut single, "I'm Proud of You." The song is a deeply moving tribute to her younger sister, Chloé, who was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, in 2014. More than just a musical composition, the piece serves as a heartfelt expression of love and support, giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Justine's journey is intrinsically linked to her education, where she is an active participant in the school's renowned Arts du spectacle programme. Under the expert guidance of music teacher Guido Bissig, she has honed her skills in playing musical instruments, singing, and performing. This supportive academic environment provided the foundation for her to write and compose the song entirely on her own. In a remarkable demonstration of her commitment to inclusivity and awareness, Justine, a Swiss citizen, recorded the single in six languages: English, German, Swiss German, Italian, Romansh, and French. This multilingual approach ensures the song's powerful message of love and resilience can connect with a diverse, global audience, breaking down linguistic barriers to foster a wider understanding of Rett Syndrome.

Justine's musical prowess is not a recent development but the culmination of a lifelong dedication to her craft. Her passion was evident from a very young age, leading to her acceptance into the prestigious Musik Konservatorium Zurich at just four years old. A multi-instrumentalist, she is proficient in the piano, violin, and guitar. Her impressive resume includes being accepted into an adult professional choir in Zurich at the age of 13 and being selected to sing with the main choir at the ‘Peace Maker – Karl Jenkins’ concert in Lucerne in 2023. Beyond music, she is a well-rounded individual who writes, delivers speeches, and participates in debates at Model United Nations conferences. Her talents extend to the stage as well, having secured a main role in a professional theater performance in Zug, Switzerland, scheduled for 2026. The debut of "I'm Proud of You" was marked by a special performance at the Dolder Hotel earlier in March, an event that brought together the Montana community, Rett Syndrome advocates, and genetic experts to support vital research efforts. The single is available on 26 platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon Music, as well as on the RETT Cure website. Justine’s story is a testament to how the nurturing environment at Institut Montana Zugerberg empowers students to leverage their talents for a greater cause, proving that with dedication and a compassionate heart, young people can indeed make a significant difference in the world.
