Class of 1996 Marks 30th Reunion on July 17, 2026

On the evening of July 17, the TASIS campus in Switzerland buzzed with nostalgia and joy as more than 40 alumni, former faculty members, and guests gathered for a 30-year reunion. This milestone event marked a record number of attendees for a 1990s class reunion, underscoring the deep and lasting bonds formed at the school. The atmosphere was electric, with alumni eager to reconnect with old friends and revisit the hallways and classrooms that shaped their formative years. Registrations poured in right up to the last minute, a testament to the enduring pull of the TASIS community. Some attendees, like Ebru Buyuksahin ’98, were so determined to be part of the celebration that they came as guests of fellow alumni. Buyuksahin, who attended with Umut, explained, “I had to be here—these are the people I hung out with! I told Umut he had to register me as his guest!” Her sentiment echoed the feelings of many, as the evening was filled with warm embraces, shared stories, and laughter that bridged decades. The reunion was not just a trip down memory lane but a vibrant affirmation of the lifelong connections that TASIS fosters among its students and faculty.

The event, organized with meticulous care, provided ample opportunities for alumni to mingle, reminisce, and celebrate their shared heritage. Former faculty members were warmly welcomed, and their presence added a special layer of meaning to the evening, as they were able to witness the remarkable adults their former students had become. The gathering was a testament to the school’s enduring legacy, with alumni from various years—not just the Class of 1996—joining in the festivities. The diversity of attendees highlighted the inclusive and interconnected nature of the TASIS community, where friendships often transcend class years. For many, the reunion was a chance to reflect on how their time at TASIS had influenced their personal and professional paths. The conversations ranged from career updates and family milestones to cherished memories of dorm life, weekend trips, and inspiring teachers. The evening served as a powerful reminder of the school’s role in nurturing not only academic excellence but also a profound sense of belonging and mutual support. As the night progressed, the campus echoed with stories of adventure, growth, and gratitude, reinforcing the idea that a TASIS education is a lifelong gift.
