A new building for our youngest learners: Le Village opens its doors in 2025

The early years of education are foundational to a student's long-term success, a belief strongly held by Collège Champittet. Drawing inspiration from Peter Hill, an experienced Australian educator, the school emphasizes the importance of early childhood education in shaping cognitive and emotional development. Collège Champittet has developed a unique curriculum that blends Swiss, French, and English educational approaches, focusing on multilingualism and core values. This curriculum is designed to stimulate young minds at a slightly accelerated pace compared to public schools, while still respecting each child's developmental timeline and fostering social skills. The inclusion of a Forest School program offers a refreshing balance to digital screen time, promoting a calmer and more connected school environment.

In August 2025, Collège Champittet will unveil 'Le Village', a new building specifically designed for pre-school, 1st, and 2nd-grade students. This innovative space will feature child-friendly amenities, including a dedicated canteen for juniors and classroom toilets for pre-schoolers, enhancing comfort and convenience for the youngest learners. Under the guidance of Primary School Principal Geraldine Boland and her team, the interior of Le Village has been thoughtfully planned with safe, soothing, and educationally conducive furniture. This project marks the beginning of a broader real estate development plan for the school over the next five to six years, reflecting Collège Champittet's commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment. The school community eagerly anticipates the opening of Le Village in the fall of 2025, a testament to its dedication to early childhood education.
