At Collège Champittet, the belief in harnessing technology creatively as a cornerstone for future success is deeply ingrained. This philosophy was vividly brought to life when two of its students, Alexia and Laetitia Vaccaro, secured the 2nd prize at the International Institute in Geneva’s inaugural “GenAI in Business” conference. The event, a convergence of industry leaders and budding innovators, explored the transformative potential of generative AI in various sectors. The sisters’ achievement underscores the school’s commitment to fostering innovation and creativity among its students, preparing them to make meaningful contributions in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The competition challenged participants to leverage generative AI in creating a short video for an original project proposal, with all elements—from imagery to editing—required to be AI-generated. Alexia and Laetitia rose to the occasion with a project that proposed AI-integrated glasses designed to assist individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in interpreting social cues and their surroundings. Their innovative solution not only showcased their technical prowess but also their empathy and understanding of real-world challenges. Reflecting on their experience, the sisters highlighted the enriching opportunity to collaborate and learn from peers across diverse backgrounds, further emphasizing the transformative power of such platforms in bridging academic learning with practical, impactful applications.
