Bravo! Champittet performers win two categories in global Virtual Young Musician competition

Collège Champittet has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in the arts, with its students achieving remarkable success at the Nord Anglia Education’s Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2025 Competition. Among 3,293 participants from 66 schools worldwide, Collège Champittet students stood out by winning in two prestigious categories. Simo, with a breathtaking performance of Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041, secured the top spot in the Art Music: Instrumental Solo category for the 7-11 age group. Similarly, the Ensemble Amati Junior captivated the judges with their Medley, earning them the Art Music: Instrumental Ensemble title in the same age group. These victories underscore the dedication and talent nurtured within the school’s music program.

The Virtual Young Musician competition, judged by experts from The Juilliard School of Performing Arts and Nord Anglia Education, offers a unique platform for young artists to showcase their skills and artistic vision. It emphasizes not just technical proficiency but also innovation and personal growth, aligning with Nord Anglia Education’s broader educational goals. Participants, including those from Collège Champittet, benefit from constructive feedback, making the competition a valuable learning experience regardless of the outcome. The event’s structure, featuring categories like Art Music and Popular Music, encourages a diverse expression of musical talent, from classical to contemporary genres. This inclusive approach fosters a global community of young musicians who are not only skilled performers but also culturally aware and critically thinking individuals.
