Champittet students follow spiritual journey with First Communion retreat, Confirmation and Corpus Christi Mass

At the heart of Collège Champittet's ethos is the holistic development of its students, blending academic excellence with personal and spiritual growth. This commitment was vividly illustrated as students embarked on a profound spiritual journey through First Communion retreats, Confirmation preparations, and participation in the Corpus Christi Mass. The school's chaplaincy played a pivotal role in organizing these activities, offering students a unique opportunity to explore and deepen their faith in a supportive and reflective environment. The spiritual retreats, held in the serene settings of Notre-Dame de Géronde Monastery in Saint-Maurice and Estavayer-le-Lac, provided students from Grades 4 to 7 with moments of peace, prayer, and introspection, guided by the Bernardine Sisters and the school's dedicated staff.

The culmination of these spiritual preparations was the Corpus Christi Mass at the Sacré-Cœur Church in Lausanne, a day marked by celebration, reflection, and community. Under the guidance of Father Philippe Matthey and Father Jean-Pascal Vacher, students took significant steps in their faith journeys, with over a dozen receiving their First Communion and six being confirmed. The mass was enriched by musical performances from the school's choir and instrumentalists, adding a layer of emotional depth to the proceedings. This event not only highlighted the students' spiritual milestones but also underscored the strong sense of community at Collège Champittet, with families and staff coming together to support the students. The school extends its gratitude to all who contributed to making these spiritual journeys possible, reinforcing its dedication to nurturing both the minds and souls of its students.
