The annual Collège Champittet Foundation Ball stands as a testament to the school's dedication to fostering a sense of social responsibility among its students and supporting humanitarian causes globally. This year, the event, held in partnership with Children First, aimed to benefit the children of Madagascar. The Ball, which took place on May 24th at the prestigious Beau-Rivage Palace, was not just a fundraiser but a celebration of art and generosity. The evening was graced by performances from Japanese classical pianist Kotaro Fukuma and Spanish dancer Elisabet Ros of Béjart Ballet Lausanne, offering attendees an unforgettable experience amidst the Art Nouveau elegance of the venue. The event underscored the community's commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged children, with ticket sales directly supporting educational and medical projects in Madagascar.
A highlight of the evening was the charity raffle and silent auction, which played a pivotal role in the fundraising efforts. The raffle featured enticing prizes such as a private gastronomic meal for six, a luxury stay at the Beau-Rivage Palace, and a Macbook, drawing widespread participation. Meanwhile, the silent auction, conducted in collaboration with Piguet Hôtel des Ventes, offered a diverse range of items from luxury watches to original artworks and unique experiences. Notably, two special items were added to the auction: a private piano concert by Kotaro Fukuma and a beloved blue toy car donated by a young guest, Issa. These initiatives, combined with the generosity of the attendees, culminated in raising an impressive total of CHF 123,680 for the children of Madagascar. The success of the event was a clear reflection of the solidarity and compassion of the Collège Champittet community and its partners.
