Leadership and advocacy: Champittet Philanthropy Club students attend NAE Summit in Houston

From the humanitarian projects of the Champittet Foundation to its collaboration with UNICEF, Collège Champittet is committed to fostering social values and a global outlook among its students. This commitment was vividly demonstrated when four members of the school's Philanthropy Club represented the institution at the 2025 Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Student Summit in Houston, Texas. The summit, which gathered over 160 students from 54 NAE schools worldwide, provided a platform for young leaders in Grades 10 to 12 to collaborate on solutions supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event is a testament to NAE's partnership with UNICEF, aiming to empower the next generation of changemakers.

The summit, held from June 21st to 28th, centered on the theme of leadership, offering participants a week of immersive experiences aimed at equipping them with the skills to drive meaningful change. Hosted by The Village School and the British International School of Houston, the event included volunteering at a local food bank, where students witnessed the tangible impact of community service. Additionally, the 'peer talks' session allowed students to share their social impact projects, fostering a global dialogue on sustainability, climate change, and social equality. Workshops led by UNICEF and SDG experts further enriched the students' understanding of advocacy and leadership, culminating in a capstone project where teams devised innovative solutions to real-world challenges posed by UNICEF. These experiences left the Collège Champittet students inspired and ready to apply their newfound knowledge to benefit their communities.
