The 2023-2024 Young Enterprise Society (YES) Club has made history as the first Brillantmont team to make the finals of the Business School of Lausanne’s (BSL) Entrepreneurial Challenge and has won the award for the best business model.
Our team EDu is a business startup created by Isabela, Tija, Maria, and Nina that focuses on helping match students with universities and majors. The team will have mentoring sessions with BSL professors and successful entrepreneurs and will work with them during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Congratulations to the whole team!
We asked the students how the experience was for them;
Two of our business start-up teams were chosen for the highly selective final rounds of the competition. Congratulations also to the FashionApp team of Amila and Anastasia for developing an app that can help teens match up fashion that suits their individual styles.
Mr Joe Brogan, our Economics and History teacher who has guided the YES Club students stated that: “I am very proud of all the students in the YES Club. Our students’ success in the Business School of Lausanne competition is a testament to their creativity, talent, and entrepreneurial skill.
This has been our most successful year as a club to date. Thank you to Mrs Mary Mayenfisch who was a big help with the competition as well.”
The EDu and FashionApp teams competed against other student entrepreneurs from Switzerland and around the world. All the innovative teams were impressive and certainly inspiring. Successful business startup owners and professors selected our teams’ projects, which our students devised in our business incubator on the Brillantmont campus in the beautiful Pierre Grise building.
Again, congratulations to our wonderful entrepreneurs who have truly excelled with the skills they honed in the collaborative learning atmosphere of the YES Club.
