Celebrating Excellence with the National Honor Society’s Newest Members

In a prestigious ceremony attended by Director General Mrs. Pauline Nord and Executive Principals Mr. James Bearblock and Mr. Emmanuel Coigny, Collège du Léman recently celebrated its 54th National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony. This year, the school welcomed 44 exceptional students into the NHS, marking a significant milestone in their academic and personal development. The NHS, established at Collège du Léman in 1969, stands as the school's oldest academic and service-oriented institution, recognizing students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The ceremony, led by NHS President Magnus G. and his team of officers, highlighted the importance of these pillars through inspiring speeches and the collective commitment to uphold the values of the NHS.

The induction ceremony not only celebrated the academic achievements of the new members but also set the stage for their future contributions to the school and wider community. With plans to organize fundraisers, provide tutoring, and support homework sessions, the NHS members are poised to make a tangible impact. The selection process was highly competitive, with 90 applications received, each showcasing remarkable dedication and academic excellence. Among the standout applicants was Gia T., whose motivational letter reflected her deep commitment to service and community building, especially in the face of adversity. Her words, 'I have always put the effort to work hard not only in my school life, but also caring for, and helping others is something I worship deeply,' resonate with the core values of the NHS. As we congratulate the new inductees, we look forward to another year of leadership, service, and academic excellence at Collège du Léman.
