Collège Champittet Campus Update: A Green, Vibrant, and Forward-Looking School in May 2026

The Collège Champittet campus in May 2026 is a testament to sustainability and natural beauty. Spanning 40,000 m² near Lake Geneva, the grounds feature a historic oak tree, a celebrated magnolia, and a flower-filled meadow that boosts biodiversity. Pupils planted 120 shrubs in 2023 for the school’s 120th anniversary. An educational beehive hosts around 30,000 bees, with a recent intervention to protect them from hornets. Rainwater from the Payot building irrigates the botanical garden, and solar panels on the Early Years Centre generate surplus electricity. Four ponies have also joined the preschool, delighting young learners.

The campus supports active lifestyles and modern commuting. Boarding students enjoy sports and park strolls, while roadworks are set to finish by summer 2026. The school promotes cycling with about fifty covered bike spaces. A new catamaran, managed by the Pully Sailing Club, aims to prepare a Champittet team for the Bol d’Or sailing competition. Pupils engage in tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, and running; one boarder competes in triathlon at a high level. A new set of exercise bars, funded by a parent, encourages outdoor activity away from smartphones.
