At Collège du Léman, education extends beyond the classroom through a holistic approach that nurtures creativity, personal growth, and international engagement. As part of the Nord Anglia Education Global Campus, students connect with over 80 schools worldwide, participating in collaborative challenges and competitions. The Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year Competition 2026 brought together 3,758 students from 57 schools, celebrating musical talent across age groups and styles. Several Collège du Léman students distinguished themselves: Robi, a Grade 7 bilingual student, won in both Instrumental Solo and Composition categories for his electric guitar performance and original piece "Ship in the Storm"; Kiho, a Grade 3 student, won in the Art Music Instrumental Solo category for his expressive performance of "Little Suite No. 6 – Perpetual Motion"; Alessandro, a Grade 12 IB student, earned runner-up recognition for his powerful cello performance of Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1; and the ensemble "The Rocking Chihuahuas"—Robi, Loïc, Nino, Finn, Damien, and Alejandro—were runners-up in the Popular Music Instrumental Ensemble category for their energetic performance of "So Many Problems."
These achievements reflect the talent, commitment, and perseverance of Collège du Léman students, as well as the dedication of music teachers who inspire young musicians daily. Beyond recognition, such experiences build confidence, resilience, creativity, and self-belief as students perform on an international stage. At Collège du Léman, these opportunities form part of a wider educational journey that empowers students to discover strengths, pursue passions, and thrive in an interconnected world. The school warmly congratulates all students and thanks teachers, families, and the community for their support.
