At the Spring Athletics Banquet hosted by the TASIS Athletics Department on May 8, and the Spring Athletics Assembly on May 9, Athletic Director Masa Yo ’04, Associate Athletic Director Alex Zanecchia ’02, and the spring coaches recognized outstanding athletes from the Varsity Golf, Tennis, and Track & Field teams. Mr. Yo also announced the recipients of the Pride Award, given to athletes who were team members for all four years of High School, and the Triple Tiger Award, for those who earned varsity letters in three sports this year. Season highlights and all award winners were shared in a video created by Athletics Intern Hugo Bronk. For Varsity Golf, coached by John Schmid and Erin Rafferty, Alice Marini ’29 received Most Valuable Player, Oscar Eberhardson ’28 earned Most Improved Player, and Benjamin Tatievski ’27 won the Coaches’ Award. Varsity Tennis, coached by Bill Dalton and Danelle Kritzinger, achieved SGIS Champions status. Fernando Reyes-Rangel de Alba ’27 was named Most Valuable Player, Adriano Beltran Prado ’26 earned Most Improved Player, and Maria Julia Tomas Cardoso ’26 and Yuto Shimizu ’26 both received Coaches’ Awards. Varsity Track and Field, coached by Vitor Mendes, Robert Schlesinger, Paul Diviani, and Alex Zanecchia, also became SGIS Champions. Joao Pedro Tomas Cardosa ’27 and Nina Radici ’29 were co-Most Valuable Players, Constance Large ’27 and Luke Anderson ’28 earned Most Improved Player, and Davin Rynbrandt ’27 and Olivia Cremonini ’29 received Coaches’ Awards.
