Exceptional Double Win for CDL Students in Nord Anglia’s Global Campus Writing Competition

We are thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement by two students from Collège du Léman (CDL) in the Nord Anglia Education Global Campus Writing Competition. This prestigious event, which attracts young writers from across the globe, saw over 6,000 participants this year, with themes centered around space to inspire creativity and imagination. Among the 140 entries from 60 schools, Emily, a Level 3 student, and Jiaheng, a Level 7 student, emerged as winners in their respective age categories (7-9 and 11-14). Their stories, The Lost Baby Alien and Star Music, not only captivated the judges but also highlighted the exceptional talent within the CDL community. This double win is a testament to the school's commitment to fostering creativity and excellence in writing.

The success of Emily and Jiaheng is not just an individual achievement but a reflection of the collaborative and supportive culture at Collège du Léman. The school's approach to nurturing talent involves detailed workshops, peer reviews, and teacher feedback, ensuring students like Emily and Jiaheng can refine their stories to perfection. Their victories were celebrated in school assemblies, with certificates presented by faculty members, marking a proud moment for the entire CDL community. Furthermore, their stories will be featured in a Global Campus eBook, illustrated by professionals, and launched on May 21, 2025. This recognition on a global platform underscores the importance of language and diversity, with entries in over 30 languages. CDL's emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and excellence has once again placed its students in the international spotlight, proving that with the right support, young writers can achieve extraordinary success.
