Celebrating Poetry

At the heart of Roséens' cultural calendar, the celebration of poetry took center stage on the 8th of May, showcasing the vibrant literary talents within the community. The event was bifurcated into two distinctive segments: Poetry Alive and the Concours de Poésie. Poetry Alive served as a homage to the timeless literary classics, where students brought to life the works of renowned poets through passionate recitations. This segment not only highlighted the students' oratory skills but also their deep appreciation for the literary giants who have shaped the world of poetry. The imagery and emotions conveyed through their performances left the audience in awe, bridging the gap between the past and the present.

The Concours de Poésie segment was a celebration of original voices, where students from Rosey showcased their creativity through spoken word, music, and film. This platform allowed the young poets to express their thoughts, dreams, and critiques of the world around them, blending traditional poetic forms with modern mediums. The diversity of themes and the innovative use of technology underscored the evolving nature of poetry, making it accessible and relatable to a broader audience. The event was a testament to the school's commitment to fostering creativity and critical thinking among its students, providing them with the tools to articulate their visions compellingly.
